Roto Dynamics has the ability to produce anywhere from 50 to 20 000 units per year. Using lean manufacturing principles we can efficiently meet your assembly and post operation requirements.
Roto Dynamics has a 30,000 sq.ft. facility and a secured covered outdoor storage area which enables us to offer our clients blanket order fulfillment, storage space for sub assembly components, parts and tools.
With design flexibility comes the ability to design-in structural features. These include ribs, stand-offs and foam filled double walled construction.
There are 3 types of mold making services we can provide. Ranging from cost saving options such as a fabricated rotomolding tool to high precision CNC machined rotational molding tools. Based on the requirements of the project our experts will help you make an informed decision.

Cast Aluminum Tooling
The reason cast tooling has a longer lead time than CNC machined or fabricated tooling is down to the fact that it is a multi-step process which uses a variety of materials.
The Rotational Molding process uses 3 different manufacturing processes to build molds; also referred to as a tools. Fabrication, aluminum casting and CNC machining Aluminum.

Surface Finish and Graphics
A range of textures are available to give your product the desired surface finish. Graphics with multiple colors can be molded into the plastic for branding or instructions.
Plastic resins and materials
Roto Dynamics has experience molding a wide range of plastics. Serving a multitude of industries allows us to stock a range of thermoplastic resins.
Fabricated tooling also referred to as fabricated rotational molding molds have a shorter lead time than cast aluminum tools and a lower cost.
CNC Machined Tooling
There are many benefits to investing in a CNC machined aluminum rotational molding mold. The mold accuracy is very good, lead times are shorter, parting lines are finer, and heat transfer is uniform.
Choosing the right plastic resin for your rotationally molded product is very important. The plastic resin should be selected based on the intended application of the product and to withstand the various conditions the part will be exposed to.
Rotomolding Product Assembly
In addition to providing you with product development we will assist you with the assembly process of sub assembly components such as casters, drawer slides and other sheet metal components.
Closely monitoring the process variables of the rotomolding process is a key aspect to maintaining a good quality part finish. In addition to this, defining what is ‘critical to quality’ provides customers with a tailored inspection process which meet their needs.
Using the industry standard foam insulation, our well trained operators will fill your product with the same foam that is used in pharmaceutical and food grade coolers to keep the contents cool.
The Rotational Molding Process
Foam filling is a unique three step process. First, a double walled rotationally molded plastic product must have the appropriate vents installed to allow the air inside the part to be displaced.
