Mold in Graphics and Brand Visibility

The part surface finish is determined by the texture that is created on the mold surface during the mold making process. There are a variety of options available which cater to different product aesthetics and functions. If you are looking for a durable more industrial finish, there are heavy textures that can be applied to the mold. If you are in need of a high gloss finish, the mold can be polished to a mirror finish. Depending on what your needs are, we can help select the most suitable surface for your application.

For permanent marking or identification of a product, the mold can be engraved to include company name, logo, contact information etc. This is a “one time” cost method for including information on the molded part.

If a more visible or decorative marking is desirable, there is the option to “mold-in” a graphic which is a transfer of a polyolefin based printed image, in full color if desired, to the surface of the mold. As the part is formed, the transfer and the plastic material become permanently bonded to each other, producing a highly attractive labeling of the finished part.
