Project Description

The customer approached Roto Dynamics with an existing product that they were having manufacturing challenges with. It is a large cover which houses an electromechanical assembly. Due the nature of the products size, it is a large and heavy mold which requires a certain size machine to run. Fortunately we had recently acquired a new piece of machinery which provides a wider envelope to run larger parts.

This product had several key requirements. One the unit had to fit on a large chassis with fitment issues. 2. The secondary trimming and routing operations were very specific and had tight tolerances. 3. The part had to have a good surface finish free of defects.

By using various form fixtures, our operators were successfully able to hold the dimensions required to ensure the cover fit on the chassis.
